Cat and Mouse Games!

I don’t know if you guys heard the news where the Taliban have allegedly hijacked a NATO convey carrying sophisticated spying equipment. Besides the fact the the news was reported on the Telegraph which is notoriously anti-Pakistan, the story highlights the growing strength of the Taliban along the Afghani-Pakistani border region. Some of the items that were intercepted by the Taliban were:

“Among the booty they discovered trucks carrying cargos of pristine 4×4 military vehicles, fitted with the most modern communications and listening technology,”

In another, unrelated news the Taliban Leader Mullah Mohamed Omar has fired the suspected killer of Benazir Bhutto as the leader of the Pakistani-Taliban militants, allegedly for focusing too much time on targeting the Pakistani military and not on the primary objective of fighting the American forces and their NATO allies (http://www.dnaindia.com/report.asp?newsid=1147368)
